Privacy Policy (iOS App)

Version date: April 17, 2026

This privacy policy applies to the libre-stage (iOS) mobile app. The app is a client for self-hosted libre-stage servers.

1. Data Controller

The band, organization, or individual operating the connected libre-stage server is responsible for processing personal data. If you are unsure who is responsible in your case, contact the administrator designated in your instance.

2. What Data Is Processed

  • Account data: username, display name, email address, role, and status information.

  • Content data: content you create or view, such as songs, rehearsals, gigs, surveys, and comments.

  • Technical data: instance server URL, session tokens, and app-internal diagnostic information.

3. Purposes of Processing

  • Providing login, session management, and access to the band’s organizational features.

  • Synchronizing and displaying data from the connected libre-stage server.

  • Analyzing errors via diagnostic features used voluntarily in the app.

4. Legal Bases

Depending on the usage scenario, processing is carried out in particular on the basis of Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (contract/user relationship), Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure and stable operation), and, where required, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent).

5. Storage and Security

  • Login tokens are stored on the device in the iOS Keychain.

  • Communication with the server takes place via its API endpoints.

  • The app does not store a complete offline copy of all data; content is predominantly loaded live from the server.

6. Recipients and Third Countries

The primary recipient of the data is the libre-stage server you configured. Whether and to what extent additional processors or third-party services are used depends on the server instance and is the responsibility of the operating entity.

7. Retention Period

Retention periods depend on the settings and processes of the respective libre-stage instance. Locally stored login data remains until logout or until the app is removed from the device.

8. Your Rights

  • Access to personal data being processed

  • Rectification of inaccurate data

  • Erasure or restriction of processing

  • Objection to certain processing activities

  • Data portability, where applicable

  • Complaint to a competent data protection supervisory authority

9. Requirement to Provide Data

Without the data required for login and use, access to app features is not possible or only possible to a limited extent.

10. Changes

This privacy policy may be updated in case of technical or legal changes. The version date shown in the app is authoritative.
